Seems like a simple question with a simple answer.  Of course it does; superlative burgers!  Been doing so since 1895 when, some say, it invented the hamburger.  Not so fast.  In "The Hamburger," author Josh Ozersky says that Louis Lunch's ground beef patties on toast are not hamburgers; "no bun = no burger."  OK, so Josh Ozersky may sound cranky, but the book, a history of the hamburger, sounds like an interesting read.  Min Jin Lee, who attended Yale and ate many a burger at Louis Lunch, has written a review (of the book) for The Sunday Times of London.  We don't understand how The Sunday Times works, but the next day, they posted another review, by Bee Wilson.  Take your pick.

The photo above, from Michael Stern's Roadfood.com review, shows the original Louis Lassen at his burger joint sometime in the 19-teens.
