Barney Greengrass, The Sturgeon King yesterday celebrated their 100th anniversary and all the k’nockers and machers showed up to make a big tzimmes.  The Manhattan borough president came with a proclamation naming June 18 Barney Greengrass the Sturgeon King Celebration Day, while the Brooklyn borough president arrived with an official decree naming the day Barney Greengrass 100 Years in the City Celebration Day.  Read more in New York Magazine.
