Without a doubt, we love to explore Roadfood places just as much as the next foodie, but to go behind the scenes in a bustling New York City market, meet innovative chefs, and sample their glorious food is a RFer’s dream come true. Foods of New York Tours is a company that specializes in culinary walking tours of celebrated city districts (SoHo, Greenwich Village, et al.), and we had the chance to join the Chelsea Market & Meatpacking District tour over the weekend. From heavenly chocolate milk at Ronnybrook Milk Bar to this docile five-pounder from the Lobster Place, our knowledgeable tour guide—a native Brooklynite—wowed us with historical tales, cultural tidbits, and delectable food samples for three well-spent hours.
