According to Marc Bouchard, columnist for The Telegraph, of Nashua, NH, Connecticut is just a big pain-in-the-ass barrier between New Hampshire and New York and points southwest. But he says he’s learned to ease the pain with pizza breaks in New Haven, at Pepe’s (Roadfood.com review) and Sally’s (see photo above from the Roadfood.com review).  He writes about his latest visit to Sally’s, in particular, which reminds him a little of Santarpio in Boston (Roadfood.com review).  Of the service (a common source of dissatisfaction among Sally’s newcomers), he says his waiter “acted as if he had invited us into his home.”  Of the pies, they were “irregularly shaped rectangles on large metal trays, blazing hot and aromatic.”  Read the full column here.

CT is a pain-in-the-what? That's serious talk from a paper in New Hampshire, home of...a whopping eight (8) restaurants reviewed on the RF site!
