Nonetheless, his five picks include the two Roadfood.com choices Shake Shack (“not a great burger, but a very good one”) and Peter Luger (“there’s only one correct way to eat meat this wonderful, and that’s unadorned”). Also making the list are Big Nick’s Burger & Pizza Joint, Blue Smoke, and the Burger Joint at Le Parker Meridien Hotel.
