Maine Farm Days is an agricultural trade show put on by farmers for farmers.  The public is welcome to attend, and it’s a terrific opportunity to get a close-up view of life on a working farm.  The host farm changes from year to year; this year the event will be held at Misty Meadows Farm in Clinton.  There will be workshops on how to survive as a small farmer in the local marketplace, ways to reduce energy costs, chainsaw safety, and tractor safety.  Other events include a Maine Tractor Pulling Competition, the Maine Dairy Princess Pageant, a Conservation Wagon Tour, milking contests, and a close-up tour of Misty Meadows dairy farming facilities.  They will also host a Farmers Market, and will be offering helicopter rides.

A chicken barbecue will be held from 11-3 both days;  also available will be ice cream, burgers, dogs, and maple cotton candy.
