J.B.'s started as a drive-through barbecue on the Lake Avenue Extension in Danbury, Connecticut, then got replaced about two years ago by a Dunkin Donuts (directly across the road from another Dunkin Donuts). I discovered only recently that it didn't vanish; it just moved west along Route 6 into Brewster, New York, where it is now an indoor picnic with a soulful menu. Pictured above is a half-and-half plate of pulled pork and fried whiting accompanied by collard greens and mac 'n' cheese. On the side I had tea -- sweet, of course.
